Wildlife Incident at McDougal Lake

At approximately 1:30PM LaRue County 911 received a information call from a fisherman. The fisherman reported, while fishing at McDougal Lake, he had found a decent amount of fish that were dead and floating along the banks. LaRue County EM Deputy Director Daniel Highbaugh responded to scene and found this to be true. Mayor Jim Phelps, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, LaRue County EM Director Troy Williams, and EPA Emergency Response Team all responded to Scene. After investigation around 300 or less fish were found deceased. Currently, the cause is unknown and is still under investigation.
